DRAFT — REVIEW BEFORE LAUNCH. Starter template; not legal advice. Have a lawyer review before pointing site-check.contexta.uk at the public internet.

Last updated: placeholder, set on launch.

What Site Check is

Site Check is an automated website analysis tool. You submit a URL; we run a polite crawl of up to 20 pages, score performance + security + SEO basics, and present a report. There is a free tier (basic findings, email-gated) and a £29 Verified Report tier (full findings + downloadable PDF + 30-day re-scan).

What you agree to by using it

  • You only submit URLs that you own, operate, or have permission to scan. Don't use Site Check to probe sites you don't have rights to test.
  • The scan is non-invasive — GET requests only, 1 request per second, no exploit attempts. We don't promise this can't be detected; we promise we won't try to evade detection.
  • You won't reverse engineer the scanner, scrape the report pages in bulk, or use Site Check to build a competing service.

What we don't promise

  • The scan is best-effort. We don't guarantee it finds every issue or that every finding is correct in your specific context.
  • The scan is not a penetration test. Findings are based on publicly visible signals (HTTP responses, HTML content). Real security depends on much more than what we measure.
  • Uptime — we aim for high availability but don't offer an SLA on the free tier.
  • That fixing the findings will improve your search ranking, conversion, or business outcomes.

£29 Verified Report

  • One-time payment, no subscription.
  • Grants access to the full findings, AI fix prompts (when available — see roadmap), the downloadable PDF, and a 30-day re-scan that inherits your Verified status.
  • Payment processing by Stripe. Refunds within 14 days of purchase if the Verified Report isn't useful — email [email protected].
  • UK VAT included where applicable.

Pentest referrals

If you request a pentest via the referral CTA on a scan report, we forward your contact details + the scanned URL to a partner firm. Any contract you enter into with the partner is between you and them; we are not party to it and don't take a fee for the introduction unless explicitly disclosed.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of Site Check or reliance on the findings. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (£0 for free-tier users; £29 for Verified Report users).

Termination

We can suspend or terminate access to Site Check for any user who breaches these terms (e.g. scanning sites they don't own, scraping the report pages in bulk, attempted abuse). For paid users, we'll refund the unused portion.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify Verified Report holders by email. Continuing to use Site Check after a change constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
